Helicopter Mountain Rescue & Short Haul Support for Search and Rescue Teams
When someone is injured or stranded on a cliff, ridge or canyon floor, every minute counts. HILINE Helicopters Inc partners with search and rescue organizations and agencies to deliver short haul operations that insert rescuers and extract patients from terrain ground teams can’t reach quickly.

Why Use a Helicopter for Mountain Rescue?
Minutes Instead of Hours
A ground team may need hours to hike into steep or remote terrain and even longer to carry a patient out. Short haul operations suspend trained rescuers below the helicopter, reaching the subject directly and flying them to a safe landing zone or waiting medical crew.
Advantages Over Ground-Only Rescue:
Speed: Reach patients in remote terrain far faster than a hike-in team.
Terrain Access: Operate where landing is impossible, including cliffs, ledges and dense forest.
Reduced Rescuer Exposure: Shorten the time crews spend in hazardous terrain.
Faster Care: Move patients quickly to ground ambulances and medical teams.
